“We try to focus on getting a little better each practice and peaking at the end of the season.” — Roger Alderman

Their next meet will be on Saturday in Wamego. “Everyone needs to keep challenging each other to get better in practice everyday and be competitive on both sides throughout the season,” Alderman said.

The team has 26 runners (17 boys, 9 girls), with 17 returning from last year (11 boys, 6 girls).

The team is coming back with an increase in experienced runners compared to the last few years. All but two of last year’s varsity runners have returned, working hard to keep their spots.

Alderman said “We try to focus on getting a little better each practice and peaking at the end of the season.”
