Throwback Thursday: The 1st Charger Homecoming

For this week’s throwback Thursday we bring you the first WHS homecoming.

King Mark Falk and Queen Lisa Grunewald highlight the candidates.

It was apparently wet during the movie-themed parade and pep rally, but that didn’t dampen the Charger’s spirit — they pulled out a 11-8 victory over the Onaga Buffs that evening.

Join the current WHS Chargers at 1:30 tomorrow for a parade and pep rally in Alma, and come cheer on the Chargers against Central Heights tomorrow evening. Crowning is at 6:30 with the game to follow.
