For the second year in a row, Charger cross country has a short trip to regionals.
WHS is hosting the race on its course in Alma, East of the football field. Girls run at 10, boys at 10:45.
“Both boys and girls are in the hunt for state, so if they run well, we have a good chance of going to state.” coach Roger Alderman said.
The 15 teams running this year are Northern Heights, Republic County, Bennington, Valley Heights, Chase County, Mission Valley, Herrington, Horton, Jackson Heights, McLouth, Oskaloosa, Rossville, Wabaunsee, Riverside, and Jefferson County North.
The girls are going in with a 33-16 record and the boys 43-24.
