Eleven Future Business Leaders of America members travelled to Herington High School Monday to compete at the Kansas FBLA District III Conference.
These members competed in a wide variety of events that included speaking presentations, testing sessions and performances.
As of press time, not all results have been released, however a few are known.
In presentations, junior Adam Miller placed 7th in Impromptu Speaking. Seniors Sierra Quathamer and Falisha Willier placed 2nd in Entrepreneurship. Willier and senior Laurel Barber placed 1st in Social Media Campaign. Barber and junior Reagan Kelley placed 1st in Sports and Entertainment Management.
In tests, senior Hannah Mumpower placed 2nd in Economics, 3rd in Healthcare Administration and 7th in Journalism. Quathamer placed 4th in Agribusiness and 6th in Accounting I. Willier placed 10th in Business Law. Junior Justice Houston placed 9th in Advertising. Kelley placed 5th in Business Law. Sophomore Mayah Mumpower placed 2nd in Intro to Financial Math, 5th in Business Calculations and 7th in Intro to Business. Junior Eli Mumpower placed 2nd in Business Calculations. Freshman Lanson Parry placed 5th in Intro to Information Technology, and 10th in Intro to Business and FBLA Principles and Procedures.
