This week’s Throwback Thursday looks at 1990’s Winter Royalty. Current students should recognize the queen, WHS principal Jan (Frank) Hutley. Travis Wilson was crowned king.
Hutley’s daughter Maddy is a candidate for this year’s crown, along with Megan Strait, Kaytlyn Meseke and Autymn Schreiner. The king candidates are Keaton Johnson, Jackson Frank, Jakob Schutter and Chad Chambers. Learn all about them in this week’s print issue.
The 1990 game was postponed due to bad weather, but things look clear for this year’s game. WHS will host a pep rally at 1:30 Friday. The varsity basketball games vs. Riley County begin at 6 p.m. with the crowning at the boys halftime.
