How would you compare your high school experience to High School Musical?
“I’ve never seen High School Musical. What’s it about?”
What is your favorite high school memory?
“Going to Dodge City for state volleyball.”
What activities did you participate in high school?
“Football 4 years, basketball 3 years, track 2 years.”
What is your favorite memory from those activities?
“State track freshman year, when I stayed with Kyle and Josh.”
What advice would you give to underclassmen?
“Always work hard and never take anything for granted.”
Is there anything you would do differently if tomorrow you woke up and you were a freshman again?
“I would have worked harder in school and sports.”
What was your favorite class at WHS and why?
“Body fitness, because it was a time when I was most active.”
Jordan Magette
How would you compare your high school experience to High School Musical?
“Absolutely nothing alike, 0/10 compared to High School Musical. I wish we had school spirit like they did, and I didn’t find a Troy to dance on top of the school in the rain with me, so that’s a bummer.“
What is your favorite high school memory?
“State softball freshman year, I was rooming with Reagan Kelley and Maddy Wertzberger, and we stayed up super late and decided to run the halls. We thought someone was following us, so we sprinted back to our room and Reagan barged into a room thinking it was ours and it was some random people’s room trying to sleep, so we all went into our right room and died laughing.”
What activities did you participate in high school?
“Volleyball 4 years, basketball 3 years, softball 4 years, cheer 4 years, FCCLA 2 years, FFA 4 years, FBLA 1 year, KAYS 3 years, Fitness club 2 years.”
What is your favorite memory from those activities?
“Winning state softball freshman year and state volleyball junior year.”
What advice would you give to underclassmen?
“Do as many things as you can while it lasts, because the 4 years in high school go by so much faster than you would think.”
Is there anything you would do differently if tomorrow you woke up and you were a freshman again?
“I would focus on myself and my school work more than I focused on whether this person or that person liked me.”
What was your favorite class at WHS and why?
“I love all of the ag classes, because that’s what I feel like I know the best, and Mr. Davis is really funny so it’s always a good time in the ag shop.”
Derek Wallin
How would you compare your high school experience to High School Musical?
“Nothing alike, I would way rather be in High School Musical.”

“Chilling with the homies at state.”

“Football 4 years, wrestling 4 years, baseball 4 years, FFA 4 years.”

“Being a part of a team and having that brotherhood.”

“Have fun!”

“It was basically the same thing minus the singing.”

“Going to all the practices with friends.”

“Davis’s Ag class, it was the only class where we didn’t have homework.”

“It was not at all like the movies.”

“Stealing Mr. Amers clock from his room with Kendyl.”

“Going to Cheddars in Kansas City at state tennis.”
What advice would you give to underclassmen?
“Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.”
Is there anything you would do differently if tomorrow you woke up and you were a freshman again?
“I wouldn’t have woken up at 6 every morning to do my makeup freshman year.”

“Nutrition and Wellness class, because all we did was eat and gossip with Mrs. Reddick.”

“They both went by so fast, but were so enjoyable and fun.”

“Face planting while tumbling at the first football game junior year.”

“First round at regionals, I was on second base and Kara hit a grand slam and won it.”
What advice would you give to underclassmen?
“Make sure you walk on the right side of the stairs or in and out of the buildings or you’ll get yelled at and run over.”
Is there anything you would do differently if tomorrow you woke up and you were a freshman again?
“I would have gone to Wabaunsee my freshmen year instead of Wamego.”

“Nutrition and Wellness, because I could do my favorite thing at school: Eat.”
