To celebrate the end of a year that we are all happy to put behind us, the Charger staff compiled the ten biggest WHS stories of the 2020. From sports to elections to unexpected plagues — it was quite a year. Check back every day until the end of the year to see the biggest stories of 2020.
8. Girls basketball returns to state
Under new coach Trever Keller, the girls basketball team returned to the state tournament after finishing 3rd the year prior. The girls unfortunately lost to Valley Heights, 51-45 in the first round… and the next day the whole state tournament was canceled due to COVID-19. The team returned to the court in December with a lot of fresh faces who hope to continue the program’s success.
