The track team traveled to Lyndon on Thursday for its first meet of the season and the first meet since the 2019 season.

At Lyndon, the girls finished with 48 points in fifth place, and the boys came in 6th with 35 points.

“We couldn’t have had a more perfect day of weather and our athletes took advantage of it. We had lots of good times and distances for early season, with lots of room to keep improving,” Alderman said. “Moving forward we need to continue to take pride in doing the tough work in practice that it takes to succeed. If we keep attacking each practice as another opportunity to get better, we should be in great shape when we get to the League, Regional, and State Meets at the end of the season.”

The team competes 3 p.m. Friday at home. Spectators are welcome, although masks and social distancing are recommended.
