Throwback Thursday | 1976 Bachelor living class enjoys cooking projects

This week we look back to 1976, when the home economics and vocational agriculture departments provided students with practical experiences.

Bachelor training students were taught good grooming, masculine graces, darning, patching and sewing on a button. “The boys seemed to like to cook best because then they got to eat,” Mrs. Steinle said.

These classes are now called Career and Technical Education classes, which includes Family and Consumer Sciences, art, journalism, agriculture, woodworking, business and other classes.
