Basketball traveled to Silver Lake January 10 to face the Eagles. The girls fell to the No. 2 ranked team in 3A, 82-13.
The boys also lost another close game, 35-32. Senior Ryan Schutter had a game-high 14 points and 9 rebounds.

On Friday, Rock Creek came to town to face the Chargers. The girls lost 60-22. Senior Lexi Barnes led the team in scoring with 9 points.

The boys finally got back in the win column with a 57-49 victory over the Mustangs. Senior Eli Oliver led the way with 15 points. Oliver had 10 rebounds as well and was 1 assist away from a triple-double. Schutter and senior Bryton Reves both had 13 points. Schutter had 8 rebounds and Reves had 7 rebounds.
The girls fell to 1-6 and the boys improved to 3-4.
This week the Chargers will play in the Royal Valley Invitational Tournament. The Chargers will face Chapman, Royal Valley, and Santa Fe Trail on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
