13 FCCLA STAR events qualify for state

Wabaunsee FCCLA competed in district STAR events February 1.

STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events include portfolios, community service projects and other categories related to FCCLA.

Ten High School and seven junior high teams competed at Linn High School, with seven high school and six junior high groups qualifying for state.

Projects included community service projects like holding technology classes for the elderly and creating fleece blankets for children in hospitals, as well as events that highlighted Wabaunsee FCCLA activity over the last year.
