Senior Rebekah Stuhlsatz signed to run cross country and track at the University of Saint Mary during a celebration in the commons Friday afternoon.
Stuhlsatz placed three times at state cross country for the Chargers and medaled in the 3200 and 1600 last year in track.
Coach Roger Alderman spoke about what Stuhlsatz brings to the team. “We all appreciated the energy and enthusiasm she brought to both cross country and track over the years. It’s made us a better team and she’ll bring that to Saint Mary,” Alderman said.

Teammate Payton Wurtz spoke about Stuhlsatz’s effort and attitude. “Rebekah has been right beside me and my teammates making sure everyone is having the time of their lives every practice and every meet. She’s one of the hardest workers and most encouraging people I know. She’s never turned down working hard and I’m excited that she gets to continue her career.”
Teammate Jenna Donaldson also spoke about her influence as a teammate. “She’s always a positive role model and always has a smile on her face. Everyone needs a Rebekah on their side.”
Stuhlsatz said she chose the University of Saint Mary because she liked the coaches and teammates, the facilities were nice and they had the classes that she needed.
