Wabaunsee’s state qualifiers all went 1-2 at the state tournament, losing in consolation rounds.

State Bound | Wrestling qualifies three for state tournaments
Three wrestlers have made the state tournament for the Chargers. Junior Alex Beggs qualified for the boys at 175. Juniors Sophia Castillo and Sienna Jones both made the state tournament in the girls first season as a team.
Young wrestling team lead by new coaches
The Wabaunsee Wrestling team is starting off the year with two new coaches. Head coach Jamy Dunbar, previously a coach at Osage City, will be assisted by Tyler Douglass. Coach Dunbar is unsure of any changes that will be made with the program, as he is new to WHS.
