USD 329 hires Covid coordinator

USD 329 has a new face this year with the addition of Charmin Miller to the staff as Covid Coordinator. Her duties this year as Covid Coordinator are to educate the students and staff on covid safety guidelines and to oversee testing of those who have been exposed to the virus. 

Fuller to teach special education, coach baseball

New WHS special education teacher Lance Fuller is already playing many roles in the district. In addition to teaching, he is the head baseball coach and assistant junior high football coach. Fuller, who grew up in Ottowa, attended Kansas City Kansas Community College for two years, Barton Community College for one year and got his Undergraduate at Fort Hays State University.

New FCS teacher ready to compete

Keeley Reddick is ready to continue the success of the WHS FCCLA program.

Reddick will replace Diane Breiner next year as the FCS teacher and FCCLA adviser. Reddick said she was interested in the position because it is close to family and it is a smaller school. She also said that coaching is what had led to her education. Reddick previously coached cheerleading at Council Grove for the last three years.

At the board meeting Monday night, the USD 329 school board approved multiple new hires for WHS, including a FCS teacher, head boys and girls basketball coaches and a district tech director.
