The 2022 Wabaunsee Winter Royalty king and queen will be crowned Friday between the varsity games. The girls face Rossville at 6 p.m. followed by the boys game.

Throwback Thursday: 1990 Winter Royalty
This week's Throwback Thursday looks at 1990's Winter Royalty. Current students should recognize the queen, WHS principal Jan (Frank) Hutley. Travis Wilson was crowned king.
Hutley's daughter Maddy is a candidate for this year's crown, along with Megan Strait, Kaytlyn Meseke and Autymn Schreiner. The king candidates are Keaton Johnson, Jackson Frank, Jakob Schutter and Chad Chambers.
NHS prepares to host winter formal
WHS students will have a chance to get “Frozen in Time” at the Winter Formal.
“NHS [National Honor Society] got together and decided that we wanted to do something different this year,” NHS adviser Miriam Barton said. It’s Barton’s first year at Wabaunsee and her first year as an NHS adviser.
